Some people never believe me when I say that I’ve lived on clouds before, and it wasn’t when I was flying. This is what I meant - a beautiful blanket of clouds, covering the lower parts of Cape Town; having lived in Camps Bay, most of the time my house was literally above the clouds. Thank you Mother Nature for giving us such wonders to witness. x

Kaapstad. Home.

Kaapstad. Home.

A street performer singing at Waterfront, in Cape Town. Those gorgeous blue skies, the stunning view of the Table Mountain.. I can just feel the smooth, breezy vibes of the Mother City emanating through. Ek mis Kaapstad..

I miss our suppers of smoked salmon sandwiches and hot cappuccino with brown sugar sticks on Sunday nights. Right after grocery & stationery shopping in the basement. I miss winter nights with the icy cold wind blasting at us from the pier, and Friday nights at Manenberg’s - me dozing off at the table while the both of you have a go at the dancefloor with the live African jazz band playing. I miss those times, so much. We seemed a whole lot happier.
